Roisin McLaughlin and Neola Nelis-McCrossan run North West Community Network. We have a combined 25 years experience of working within the community and voluntary sector. We’re here to help our members. We provide practical advice, support and training. This includes support with sourcing funding, governance issues, charity commission requirements, facilitating strategic planning and providing help with strategic direction. We provide training and skills development opportunities e.g. committee skills, media training, social media training, safe-guarding, data protection, impact measurement and finance training.
We are part of the DiverseCity Community Partnership based in the Holywell Building in Bishop Street. We are proud of our Management Committee who are representative of a wide range of groups and we very much value their support. We work hard to develop links with other sectors in order to represent the community sector on relevant forums and partnerships in the north west. These are our strategic aims for the next two years:
Strategic Aim 1: To develop the role of the Network as the voice of the Community and Voluntary sector in the North West
Strategic Aim 2: To increase skills and build capacity within the community and voluntary sector in the North West
Strategic Aim 3: To encourage greater collaboration and partnership working between community and voluntary groups in the area and across sectors
Strategic Aim 4: To facilitate networking opportunities between members of the sector and those with decision making influence
