4 Tesco Centenary Fund - Vote for AWARE
AWARE are delighted to announce that we have been selected by Tesco to go forward to a customer vote in Tesco stores throughout Northern Ireland during July and August to receive a grant of either £20,000, £30,000 or £50,000.
If we win the £50,000 grant, this money would enable AWARE to create a generation of young people with the tools and skills they need to have good mental health, resilience and the ability to deal with problems in their lives by training 1 teacher and 1 pupil from every post-primary school across Northern Ireland in a Mental Health First Aid course.
The Mental Health First Aid course gives participants the knowledge and skills to provide help to a person developing a mental health problem or who is in a mental health crisis. This first aid is given until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves
You can cast your vote in any Tesco store in Northern Ireland using a blue token which will be given to you when you make a purchase in a Tesco store. There is no minimum spend to receive a blue token and there is no limit in how many times one person can vote.
Please tell your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues to vote and as they say ‘Every Little Helps!’

8 Mandatory Autism Training For All Teaching Staff In NI - Sign Our PETITION
As 1 in 30 children are being diagnosed with autism in Northern Ireland, it is critical that our children are given the support they are entitled to at school. We want them to have the best possible start in life and the best educational outcomes. No child with autism should miss out on a full and supportive education.
Many of our teachers in Northern Ireland feel overwhelmed with the lack of training and resources they are given to teach autistic children. We are therefore calling for the Department of Education to introduce mandatory autism training for all teaching staff within mainstream schools.
Autism NI has been consistently lobbying for this over the past year and change is URGENTLY NEEDED.
Autism NI is asking YOU to 'sign' and 'share' this petition to show our decision-makers what needs to be done!

SAVE THE DATE
We have organised a Campaign Rally for our parents and supporters on Wednesday 11th September 2019 at Parliament Buildings, Stormont at 10am to officially hand over this petition.
