Foyle Down Syndrome Trust was formed in 1995 to promote development of a culture which would encourage and enable children with Down Syndrome to live full, independent and productive lives.
We took our inspiration for our project from Professor Sue Buckley, Director of the Sarah Duffen Centre, Portsmouth. Professor Buckley has over 30 years’ experience in researching and working with people with Down Syndrome.
The Trust provides services and support to children and young people with Down Syndrome aged 0 – 30 years old and their families including as follows:
