1The National Lottery Community Fund - The UK Fund
The UK Fund is one of the NLCF first significant commitments as part of our new strategy, ‘It starts with community.'
We’re looking to fund organisations that want to do more to help communities come together and help make us a better-connected society.
We want to fund projects that:
strengthen relationships between people whose experiences of life have not been the same. For example, relationships between people of different ethnic backgrounds, generations, occupations or geographies
create connections between online and offline worlds
help make sure people from all backgrounds can shape the future of their communities.
LFT Charitable Trust is a family foundation based in Belfast. Our priority is to fund partner organisations which make a lasting difference to people’s lives; focus on reducing isolation, inequality and stigma; and inspire and empower individuals to realise their potential and share in the life of the whole community.
In this new ‘Accessible & Inclusive Premises’ Grant Programme we are interested in connecting with charitable organisations in Northern Ireland who have proposals to undertake modifications which will make their premises more accessible for those with disabilities and better equipped to welcome and serve the whole community.
Good Relations Week 2023, is scheduled to run from Monday 18th September to Sunday 24th September 2023.
It will deliver a positive message of togetherness as it celebrates peace-building and cultural diversity in an effort to eradicate sectarianism, racism and inequality across Northern Ireland. The annual celebration will highlight the importance of local organisations working collaboratively and collectively to drive meaningful progress towards building a shared future for everyone.
The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Together’ which will shine a light on individuals and organisations working together and sharing ideas and experiences in tackling everything from sectarianism and racism to gender inequality, shared spaces, peace-building, and cultural diversity. #GRWEEK23

You will hear from the real life experiences of our parents we have had the privilege to support.

Guildhall Square, Derry 27th & 28th August at 3pm Free Event. *If inclement weather presents, this performance will be moved inside The Guildhall and numbers will be limited.
The world premiere of AFTER THE RAIN, a specially commissioned production featuring globally acclaimed French circus collective Compagnie XY and a local ensemble of artists (spoken word, acrobatics, music, parkour) will be taking place on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 August in the Guildhall Square in Derry.
Inspired by the people and communities of the city in sustaining 25 years of peace-building since the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, ‘After the Rain’ explores physical and spiritual resilience in the face of obstacles. This will be Compagnie XY’s first ever work produced on the island of Ireland and is one of only two new works produced by this 40-strong collective of acrobats. The other for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The production, two years in the making, included a visit by Compagnie XY to Derry in September 2022 where they delivered a surprise week-long series of pop-up performances across the city. Over five days, Les Voyages Derry-Londonderry interacted with thousands of city residents in their neighbourhood parks, shopping centres, pubs and local hairdressers before a moving reunion event in St. Columb’s Park.
Those acrobatic performances marked the beginning of a journey, getting to know the people of the city, building trust and collaborations; it involved the city’s citizens interacting with the troupe in a series of encounters during their everyday lives- being carried, lifted and falling into their arms – each interaction a unique and uplifting experience for those involved. AFTER THE RAIN sees Compagnie XY, in collaboration with local artists, return to deliver a one-off performance inspired by the resilience of the people and the city like no other seen before.
An Imperial War Museum (IWM) 14-18 NOW Legacy Fund commission in partnership with Ulster Presents at Ulster University, it is co-produced by In Your Space Circus and delivered in association with Circusful and Institut Francais.
