General Election Hustings Event - Pizza & Politics
This event is mainly for youth but anyone is welcome to attend.
The Department of Finance has opened a £30,000 Innovation and Outreach Fund to encourage the use of open data.
Awards of between £300 and up to £5,000 are available to fund the development of apps or other interactive visualisations that make innovative use of data on the Open Data NI portal. Organisations and individuals hosting engagement activities including hackathons, workshops, seminars or events that will raise awareness of open data will also be eligible to apply to the fund.
4 CLEAR Forum - Suicide Prevention, Building Hope & Resilience in Communities
This free event is a follow on from the largest ever international Suicide Prevention Conference held in Derry~Londonderry in September 2019.
Keynote Speakers Include:
Barry McGale – Suicide Bereavement UK
Professor Siobhan O’Neill – Ulster University
They will provide a synopsis of the Conference and highlight key areas of learning for community and voluntary sector working in the field of suicide prevention and emotional wellbeing
We will also be joined by the Public Health Agency and Education Authority looking at issues including positive media messaging and youth resilience. The event will end with an opportunity for lunch and networking.

5Parental Alienation United As One Conference 2020
La Dolce Vita Project in association with Parental Alienation Europe will be hosting "Parental Alienation United As One Conferences", on 21st April 2020 in Croke Park Dublin and in The City Hotel, Derry/Londonderry 23rd April 2020.
Both conferences are suitable for professionals to include psychotherapists, social workers, psychiatrists, counsellors, barristers, solicitors, guardians of court, family support workers and anyone working are involved with those impacted by domestic abuse, violence and parental alienation.
Learning outcomes will include:
Understanding and knowledge of the prevalence of parental alienation across the world from expert speakers and worldwide research.
Understanding and knowledge of the impact of parental alienation on children and why it is emotional and psychological abuse.
Understanding and knowledge of links with parental alienation to coercive control and domestic abuse.
Understanding and knowledge of the "5 Factor Model, 8 manifesting symptoms in a child, and the 17 strategies used by alienating parents".
Understanding and knowledge of Irish Case Law recognising Parental Alienation (Southern Ireland).
Understanding and knowledge of child custody management strategies for assessing parental alienation.
Understanding and knowledge of legal implications and potential resolutions.

We are pleased to announce two opportunities available for young people for you to promote and a survey for youth information workers:
EuroApprentices 2020 The Erasmus+ funded scheme ‘EuroApprentices’ is seeking apprentices who have participated in an Erasmus+ mobility to represent the UK at the EuroApprentice Network Meeting in Poland (2020) and at national UK events. This is a wonderful opportunity for apprentices to gain valuable skills, share their experiences, motivate other apprentices and attend events. Costs are 100% covered by the UK National Agency.
You can find attached in this email the Information Sheet for 2020 with more information about the role of an EuroApprentice. Find also attached the Guide for Applicants with the links to the application process, eligibility criteria and the costs funded by the programme.

DiscoverEU DiscoverEU is back! Almost 50,000 young people were awarded a travel pass since the first application round in 2018. Another round will take place from 7 - 28 November 2019 (deadline 11.00am (UK time)) with 20,000 travel passes are available for young people to travel across Europe.

ESCO Survey Some of you might have received this survey through ERYICA or SALTO to contribute to better recognition of youth workers and youth information workers in Europe. ESCO is the European multilingual database on Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations run by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
The aim of this survey is to clarify the occupation of a youth worker and to add a specific occupation of a youth information worker in ESCO. Please fill it in here.

14 Upcoming Events with Towards Understanding & Healing
Valued Voices is organising two events in partnership with Fr Joe Gormley of St.Mary’s Creggan.
The first event will take place at 8pm on 26th November with Johann Coyle and Alan McBride from WAVE as guest speakers.
The second event will take place at 8pm on 3 December, where poet playwright and film maker, Damian Gorman will be the guest speaker. Damian will be joined by well known local singer Anne Tracey.
Both of these free events will take place in the Community Room at St Mary’s Chapel, Creggan.
