1 Last chance to register - Cost of Living Crisis - Tough Times, Smart Solutions

How can we best support your organisation and help fight your corner through the current cost of living crisis?

Date: 25 May 2023
Time: 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Venue: DiverseCity Community Partnership, Holywell Building, 10-12 Bishop Street.

NWCN in partnership with NICVA would like to invite you to this timely event.  This workshop is an opportunity for you and your organisation to share the challenges you are facing.  Voluntary and community organisations are on the front line of the cost-of-living crisis supporting people and communities, all while facing rising demand for services, falling income, and rising operational costs.

Our sector can't continue to respond to this crisis without support.

This event will be a safe space to share your concerns, learn from other organisations and have a say on the support your organisation and beneficiaries need.

2 Stand up against the cuts - Rally

As part of the Day of Action led by the 36 Neighbourhood Renewal Partnerships, a protest will be held on:

Thursday 25th May 1pm at Ebrington Square
Thursday 25th May 1pm, Pagoda, Abercorn Square, Strabane

Ebrington will be chaired by Alison Wallace Waterside Neighbourhood Partnership Board with speakers from; Surestart, Schools, Pathways, Youth Sector, Nursing/Physiotherapy at Magee

It is very important that we take a stand against these cuts and support the most vulnerable in society who are being impacted most.  Many of these cuts are on services that support children, young people and families.

The community sector in the Derry City and Strabane area is calling on all of our community groups, childcare providers, schools, health service workers, and all those affected by the current government cuts to join in the protest.

Members are encouraged to share this information across the community.

 AIB Community Fund

The AIB Community €1 Million Fund was first launched in 2022 and supported 72 charities across six regions in Ireland, NI and the UK. This year we will continue to support communities through the fund which will support a further 72 charitable organisations in 2023. The AIB Community €1 Million Fund enables customers, the public and our employees to support the local charities that mean most to them, within their region.

Nominate a charity that matters most to you before 14 June.
